I won't be making this a regular part of my blog, but I woke with the Moody Blues singing this 1970 hit Lazy Day, it's my son Brian's 38th Birthday, and my wife emailed me this cartoon which I thought was worth sharing. Gold closed down -$0.90 at $1,211.20.

Silver closed down-$0.14 at $15.28.

Platinum closed down -$5.00 at $826.

Palladium closed up +$2.00 at $904.

And here's the Commitments of Traders Report showing short trades smashing long trades by 2x which explains why we see continued depression in the metal prices and I anticipate these lazy days of summer to continue.
